3 photos that sell: light for food, rooms and products

AdFlow builds the video from your photos, so better photos make a better reel. You do not need an expensive camera — just a few habits.
Light first
- Next to a window — daylight is the cheapest and best light. Put the product beside the window, not in front of it.
- No direct sun — hard sun makes black shadows. Draw a thin white curtain if you have one.
- Flash off — flash makes food look greasy and fabric flat.
- Don't mix tube light and bulbs — two kinds of light give strange colours.
Food
- The whole thali from above — hold the phone flat, straight over the plate.
- A close-up of one thing — the baati in ghee, steam over the dal, a crisp samosa.
- A hand or a face — a hand serving, or the cook's smile.
Photograph food while it is hot. A plain cloth or a banana leaf under a steel thali looks great.
Rooms (hotels, guest houses)
- The whole room from the door — stand in a corner, phone at waist height.
- The bed or the breakfast table — smooth the sheets first.
- The view from the window or balcony — this is what guests remember.
Open the curtains, switch on every light and keep the bathroom door closed.
Shop products

- The whole product on a plain background — a wall, a sheet or the counter.
- A detail — the saree border, the phone camera, the label on the pickle jar.
- In use — a phone in a hand, a dupatta on a shoulder.
Final check
- Wipe the phone lens with a cloth — the most common mistake.
- Shoot upright (portrait) — Reels are vertical.
- Leave one corner empty for the price cloud.
